She was a former member of St. Patrick - St. Anthony Catholic Parish, Grand Haven, and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Grand Rapids, where she resided until her death. He was born July 2, 1932, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Stanley and Elsie (Ewing) Wheat.  Stan was raised on the family farm in Maryland and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1952 where he proudly served his country as a medic during the Korean War.
